I’m not an easy person to deal with and I can be quite particular and even demanding at times. I contacted CKuz Guitars and dealt with Chuck in regards to the purchase of a new Seymour Duncan Powerstage 200. Excellent diagnostician. I was turned away from a larger Guitar store because they didn’t seem interested in fixing the problem I had with two of my basses. I thought that I had problems with my preamp, and was told that there was nothing that could be done for the guitar by the large store. Chuck took on the job and found out that these were pretty much minor problems which he quickly repaired. I recommend Chuck highly.

Chuck did an amazing job setting up a Jackson Dinky for me. He was quick and and pricing was reasonable. He also was willing to make a quick adjustment on my son's Strat. I'm already making plans to have him replace the frets on one of my Gibson guitars as well! I highly recommend him!

I bought an American Strat brand new a few years back, and I noticed after playing it for a few months that it would fret out on the high e-string anywhere above the 12th fret when bending. I love the way the guitar plays otherwise but tended not to play it because of that issue, so I would play other guitars. I finally decided to get it setup. I work for a music retailer and have played many guitars that have been setup by Chuck, and they've always felt just right in terms of action and playability. I took my Strat down to Chuck and he identified the issues my guitar had with the neck, set it up properly, and set all of the pickup heights correctly. I got home from picking it up about an hour and a half ago and haven't put the guitar down since. It plays perfectly! Not only does it play much better, but it sounds much better because of the pickup height adjustments. I also like that Chuck will sit and play each guitar after he's done getting all of the specs right to check that it feels right, and this serves as a quality control measure. Once he told me that, I realized why every guitar that I've played that he setup played so good. Overall a great experience, but to be honest with you I knew it was going to come out great based on the work I've seen of his. I will definitely be back with my other guitars in the future!! Easily the best luthier I’ve ever taken my guitar to. Very personable and intuitive in how to get the job done just right, according to your own custom spec preferences Chuck was able to get perfect intonation in the bridge of an old Les Paul of mine (which had previously been unattainable), and did fantastic work on the neck on my favorite Fender Strat, which was given a stainless-steel refret- now those high bends just float across the board, and any buzz, even when plucked on the low E-string, is practically non-existent. I’ll be coming back for all of my guitar repairs, no doubt

When it comes to guitars this guy has it down! I brought a 416-ce to him for setup and general checkup and within a few days he had turned a gorgeous and fun guitar into something even better. He made recommendations for future care and told me a few issues to watch out for on my specific rig. Silver class certified Taylor repair As well as fender. I wouldn't go to anyone else. You need a guitar fixed you take it to him.

My acoustic electric (Breedlove Solo C350) was having an electronics malfunction that I couldn't figure out and I happened to find CKuz Guitars and decided to give it a try. Chuck went all out to diagnose the problem (rather than simply assume the pre-amp was shot and charge me the premium). In two days time, he identified the problem as a wire that shorted out and had it replaced and ready to go all for a very reasonable price. Also, he was always reachable over the phone, which I really appreciated. I'll definitely be heading over to Chuck's shop next time I have a guitar repair beyond what I can do on my own.
